An Immigrant Student in America: Finding a College

0

Ayat Husseini is standing on the threshold of a new world: college. She is facing a challenge that many immigrant students across the United States share. She longs to venture out of state, to live on a leafy campus and experience everything college life has to offer, but her father is dead set against it.

“When I’m in school I’m not American enough, and when I’m at home I’m not Lebanese enough,” she says.
