From Lebanon to the UK, a new start for refugee family
Single mom Maisaa was eking out precarious existence as a refugee in Lebanon, having fled the bombs in Syria. But she and her two young children got a new lease on life with a UK resettlement programme that brought them this week to Northern Ireland. The so-called Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) has thus far
10,000 of the most refugees affected by the Syrian conflict to safety in the UK.
