Moscow does not believe in tears: Syrian Refugees in Russia
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, unmanaged immigration leads to nationalism and intolerance and can cause a permanent conflict in society. However, the degree to which immigration in Russia is actually well-managed remains questionable. Refugees fleeing the Syrian conflict have not received much in the way of help or status, and the vast majority of them have become illegal immigrants. Nikolai Starobakhin explores how Moscow is doing little in Russia for those whom they are trying to save in Syria.
