Latest Express Entry Draw Prince Edward Island 2018
Prince Edward Island Express Entry immigration has issued a total of 78 invitations to apply for the province’s Provincial Nominee Program. The Atlantic Province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) has given 22 of these invitations through the Express Entry Stream.
The remaining 56 candidates in the May 17, were invited under the PEI PNP Labour Impact Category. The Labour Impact Category has three streams:
- Skilled Worker;
- Critical Worker; and
- International Graduate
The new Expression of Interest system was introduced earlier this year, helping foreign nationals who want to apply for any Canadian immigration under the Prince Edward Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
Express Entry candidates who wish to migrate to Canada through PEI PNP must first create an Express Entry profile through the Province’s Expression Of Interest (EOI) system. The profiles are then assessed based on the following factors:
- Work Experience; and
In addition to that, Express Entry candidates who are nominated by PEI are rewarded with an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRM) points. From the day of nomination, candidates have up to 90 days to submit a complete application to the province’s immigration office.
Express Entry Labour Impact Category
Unlike in previous draws, the latest Prince Edward Island Express Entry draw did not have a target score for the Labour Impact Category candidates.
The Labour Impact Category was created for foreign nationals who have the necessary skills and work experience to fit in the labor market. The category is divided into the following streams:
- Skilled Workers;
- Critical Workers; and
- International Graduates.
